The only official website for paying a U.S. District Court Violation Notice is www.cvb.uscourts.gov. If you are paying online, please verify the web address carefully and report suspicious activity to the Central Violations Bureau (CVB) at 800-827-2982 or info@cvb.uscourts.gov. Alternatively, you may pay a ticket over the phone by calling the CVB at the same number.

SUSPENSION OF SEALED CRIMINAL ELECTRONIC FILING
Pursuant to Administrative Order 2025-54, Local Rule 5.4 (Filings Under Seal; Disposal of Sealed Materials) is suspended as applied to electronically filed sealed documents in criminal cases only. Until further Order of the Court, all sealed criminal filings shall be filed conventionally with the Clerk’s Office in paper form, by mail, or by hand-delivery, regardless of e-filing status. Filings of sealed documents in criminal cases by email are prohibited. Ex Parte documents in criminal cases are to be processed with the same restrictions as sealed filings.

As a reminder, all conventionally filed sealed documents in criminal cases must contain an original, handwritten (wet) signature of the filing attorney or pro se party, and indicate the word “SEALED” on each document. Further, the sealed documents must be submitted to the Clerk’s Office in a plain envelope with the case number, style of the case noted, and marked “sealed document” on the outside.
