Plaintiff has filed civil rights complaint against a Palm Beach County Correctional Officer alleging that the officer was deliberately indifferent to the risk of being attacked by a fellow inmate. According to Plaintiff, the officer knew that his cell should only be opened while he was accompanied by two deputies. The office nevertheless opened the cell which allowed another inmate to attack and injure Plaintiff. The case is presently scheduled for trial on February 24, 2025 and discovery has begun.
