Hogrobrooks Harris v. Carnival Corporation (24-CV-23676-RKA) Posted 11/04/2024

The Plaintiff, Heather Hogrobrooks Harris, is suing Carnival Corporation for negligence, breach of contract, tortious interference, unfair and deceptive business practices, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The Plaintiff alleges that, after enduring a severe medical episode on a six-day cruise operated by the Defendant, she was taken off the ship in Belize to receive additional medical treatment. Harris never received treatment in Belize, was temporarily deprived of her passport and luggage, and took several days to return to the United States and receive medical attention. The Plaintiff also contends that the Defendant has failed to send her relevant billing and medical records, and that this failure is interfering with her ability to resolve her medical bills and to take future cruises with the Defendant. This case is in its early stages, as the Defendant has not yet been served. If interested, please email FLSD_ProBono@flsd.uscourts.gov
