Plaintiff Bernard Ferguson brings a deliberate-indifference action under the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments against multiple defendants. On January 11, 2023, Plaintiff arrived at the Palm Beach County Jail and began taking Suboxone upon entry into a treatment program for his opioid use disorder. Plaintiff alleges that custodial and medical staff later withheld the medication as punishment for Plaintiff’s drug misuse despite his medical needs.
