The Plaintiff, Zachary Prince, has filed a civil rights complaint under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against four employees of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Plaintiff alleges that Defendants have been deliberately indifferent to his medical needs by refusing to provide him with effective treatment for his opioid-use disorder while incarcerated. Discovery is currently ongoing. Mediation is set before Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart for late October 2024. Dispositive motions are due November 26, 2024.
