This complaint was screened and allowed to proceed based on Plaintiff Lovely Marius’s allegations that the Defendants discriminated against her based on her race when they prevented her from opening a bank account at an Iberia Bank branch in Aventura, Florida. Marius has been granted in forma pauperis status and service on the Defendants has been ordered. This case is at a very early stage, and volunteer representation would entail representing Plaintiff during all pretrial proceedings, including discovery, mediation, and at trial, if necessary.
