Msikita v. Secretary, US Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), U.S. Department of Agriculture (21-CV-22812-JLK) Posted 08/27/2021

This civil rights action under 42 U.S.C. § 2000(e) (“Title VII”) arises out of alleged incidences of discrimination against Plaintiff, Weston Msikita, by his previous employer, the United States Department of Agriculture.  Plaintiff was employed as a Plant Pathology Identifier.  Plaintiff states that after he complained about his disproportionate workload, he was reprimanded and harassed by his supervisors.  Specifically, Plaintiff states that he was discriminated and retaliated against based on his race and national origin.  Thus, Plaintiff seeks compensatory damages, including forward and back pay, as well as attorneys’ fees and costs.
