Lopez Macaya v. Aramark, Inc. et al (21-CV-10052-JEM) Posted 09/14/2021

Plaintiff Yandri Lopez Macaya proceeds pro se against Defendants Aramark, Inc., Ricardo Batalier, Jean Carino, and Richard Iyala, in both their individual and official capacities, for deliberate indifference to his conditions of confinement in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Specifically, Plaintiff alleges that the Defendants provided Plaintiff rotten food, no food at all, or food that did not comply with his medically prescribed gluten- and soy-free diet, thereby leading to ongoing pain and suffering, including, among other things, consistent swelling of his throat and face, stomach pain, and severe allergic reactions. Plaintiff’s Complaint withstood screening under 28 U.S.C. § 1915(e), and personal service has been directed against the Defendants.
