Boolean Searches:
The query, death AND NOT penalty will return documents containing "death" but not "penalty".
The query, death AND penalty will return documents containing the words "death" and "penalty".
The query, death OR penalty will return documents containing "death" and also documents containing "penalty".
Proximity Searches:
The query, death NEAR penalty will return documents containing the word "death" NEAR the word "penalty".
Wildcard Search:
The query dis* will return all documents containing "dis" as part of a word, i.e. "Dismissed", "District" and so on.
