EMPLOYMENT

Citizenship Requirements

Employees of the United States Courts must be citizens of the United States or citizens of countries with treaty relations with the United States, as defined by the United States Department of State, and confirmed by the Administrative Office of the U. S. Courts. Non-citizen applicants must possess valid and unexpired immigration and work status documents.

Applying for a Position

The Human Resources Office accepts applications or resumes only for announced vacancies. Please review our current Vacancies online.

Each Notice of Vacancy includes specific qualification requirements for the position and directions on how to apply for each position. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications as stated in the announcement. Unfortunately, interviews cannot be offered to all applicants. Applicants will be notified when the position has been filled.

 

Application Information

Applying for Most Positions: Generally, applicants should submit a detailed resume, including salary history of positions held and a personal email address. Be sure to review the Notice of Vacancy for other application requirements. See section below on Submitting Your Application.

U. S. Probation Officer Applicants: Applicants for this law enforcement position are requested to use the application provided here*.

Official Court Reporter Applicants: Applicants for an official court reporter position must also include a copy of the Court Reporter Application Addendum with their application for employment. A PDF version is available here* and a WordPerfect version is available here.

Please indicate the announcement number of the position for which you are applying in the Subject line of the email.

Typing your resume in the "body" of an email message does not present the best format for a hiring manager's review and may not be given consideration.

Relocation/Interview Expenses
