REVISED CM/ECF TRAINING OPTIONS
Revised November 18, 2008

Effective October 12, 2006, all attorneys admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida are required to file documents electronically through CM/ECF, except as provided for in the Court's Administrative Procedures or otherwise ordered by the Court. If you are admitted to the Southern District of Florida Bar but have not been issued a Court user log-in to file electronically in CM/ECF because you have not completed our mandatory training requirements, you must fulfill one of the following requirements:

1.        Hands-on CM/ECF Attorney Training

The hands-on training provides users with an interactive approach, as well as, step-by-step instructions on how to navigate through the CM/ECF system. To attend the mandatory CM/ECF training session, you may register on-line at http://www.flsd.uscourts.gov/cmecf and select Registration for Attorney Training/Log-in. Choose a date and location that will accommodate your schedule and complete the registration process. A confirmation will be sent to the e-mail account you registered within 24 hours. If you need to cancel or reschedule, you may do so by clicking on the cancellation option in your confirmation email. You may also contact (305) 523-5100, hit 1 for a touch tone telephone, and then hit 2 for CM/ECF assistance. Please listen to the recording to get to the appropriate section. All attendees may register for CLE credit after the training requirements have been completed.

2.        Training in Another Federal District

If you have already attended CM/ECF training in another district, you do not need to complete training in this district, but you must register to receive a user log-in and indicate you have completed training in another district. To do this, go to the Court's website at http://www.flsd.uscourts.gov/CMECF/ and select Registration for Attorney Training/Log-in.

3.        Non-Attorney/Staff Training

Paralegals, legal assistants, IT staff, or other non-attorney support staff who will be involved in the electronic case filing process may also attend the hands-on training by registering online at http://www.flsd.uscourts.gov/CMECF/Registration/enrollnonbar.asp
